Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
Excellence is a talent or quality which is unusually good and so surpasses ordinary standards. It is also used as a standard of performance.
Excellence is a continuously moving target that can be pursued through actions of integrity, being frontrunner in terms of products / services provided that are reliable and safe for the intended users, meeting all obligations and continuously learning and improving in all spheres to pursue the moving targets.

HISTORY OF PERSONAL EXCELLENCE
The Ancient Greeks had a concept of arete which meant an outstanding fitness for purpose. This occurs in the works ofAristotle and Homer.
Another related concept was eudaimonia which was the happiness which resulted from a life well-lived, being prosperous and fulfilled. The equivalent concept in Muslim philosophy is ihsan.Bhagawat Geeta is the self help book to achieve Personal Excellence.
